Known by friends & coworkers as Craig, he initially graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida in 1974. He then pursued a career in the family-owned home construction company with his own home building business. It was during this time he met and married his wife Sherry in 1979. Shortly thereafter he developed a love for sports medicine & returned to school, graduating from Florida International University in 1986 as a Physical Therapist.
Craig started his career in a number of different therapy environments but eventually found his niche in outpatient care, becoming the outpatient director at North Ridge Hospital in Fort Lauderdale in 1988. From there Craig was recruited for the position of Director of Rehabilitation Services at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce; While there, he helped establish the skilled nursing unit, the outpatient off sight facility, and helped with design, organization and staffed the in-house rehabilitation facility, the first in Saint Lucie County. In 1999 Craig created the first therapist owned and operated outpatient physical therapy clinic in Jensen Beach, FL. Until he sold it in 2014.
After selling his practice in Jensen Beach, Craig couldn’t stay retired for long! His love for outpatient physical therapy eventually brought him to Baylife Physical Therapy as the clinic manager, within the Fort Pierce clinic.
In addition, Craig helped establish the Indian River State College School for Physical Therapy Assistants, being an original advisor & serving on the advisory staff. He also served as past treasurer on the Florida East Central District of the Florida Physical Therapy Association. Along with that achievement, his biggest accomplishment is that he shares 4 children & 3 grandchildren with his wife Sherry.
